Q. Where are you right now?

A. Wanaka – super stoked to be back home!

 

Q. What’s your favorite thing to do when Wanaka’s covered by the inversion layer and you can’t go riding?

A. Crank up the fire, get cosy and watch a movie. Or some House episodes.

 

Q. Where were you for the Northern Hemi winter?

A. Mainly based in Colorado, riding at Breckenridge. Travelled around a bit for comps.

 

Q. Who were you hangin’ out with there?

A. The NZ Team. Living with freeskiers Janina & Rose. Its always nice being at Breck because there are heaps of kiwis based there so you see everyone on the hill.

 

Q. Sounds like you had some amazing comp results, what were some of the highlights?

A. World Champs in Olso, Norway was awesome. I felt really good all week and stomped personal best runs in all the rounds – quals, semis, finals – to end up placing in 4th. Competed in my first XGames in Europe which was super fun. I placed 6th which I was happy with. Finally to wrap up the season I took out the Rockstar Throwback Throwdown in Breck which was a combo of riding a 22ft pipe and riding a handbuilt oldschool 4ft pipe -it was pretty crazy!

 

Q. What are your plans for the NZ winter?

A. My focus will be on the Halfpipe World Cup as it is the first qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics. I am hoping to get a few more tricks locked throughout the season and progress my riding in the spring.
