Club Field’s are GO!

The first months of the season have already delivered more snow to the club fields than they received the whole of last winter. Its wall to wall and set up for an epic August and into spring.

For those that are not familiar with the Canterbury club fields, these areas use efficient rope tows to access some amazing terrain not normally seen on the more commercial resorts.

The tows can be challenging, but the rewards are more than worth the effort. On a  recent trip to Craigieburn, we caught up with Mark Brownlee, a 20 plus season veteran who currently guides for Black Diamond Safaris throughout the area. Possibly the most experienced snowboarder riding the club fields, in the following short videos, he will show you some tips on how to ride rope tows correctly. If you are considering a trip, then look him up directly at BLACK DIAMOND SAFARIS. And for more information on lift passes, go to CHILLOUT.CO.NZ. They offer discounted season pass options that allow access at 13 fields  in the South Island.
