#8 July/August 1995

RIDER: Quentin Robbins
LOCATION: Canterbury
PHOTOGRAPHER: Stan Hill

Quentin Robbins punches through the cover in what becomes known as the ‘silver surfer’ issue. Inside our main feature is “O.E.” with some amazing photos and stories, including “Alaska on 12 Pairs of Socks” by Paul Trapski, Japan by Olly Brunton, “Europe to Utah, with a touch of Lebanon” by Steve Scott, France by Ross Woodhall, and Whistler/Blackcomb, then Tahoe by Stan Hill. The interview is with 1993 National Champion and snowboarding mainstay Graham ‘Spy’ Dunbar. There’s a piece on Fox Glacier, and Queenstown grommets Sam Deavoll, Glenn Howe, Glen Leggett, Barnaby Newton, and Aaron Jamieson are highlighted in “A Day Off School”.
